Mount Demänovská – 1304 m above sea level
Mount Demänovská is a beautiful and relatively accessible peak for guests who want to enjoy far-reaching views without a long drive. Rocky formations line the hiking trail, and the summit offers views across the Liptov Basin, the Choč Mountains and the Western Tatras. This is one of those outings where staying right in Demänovská Valley is a real advantage.
Siná Peak – 1560 m above sea level
A challenge for the brave—or, more accurately, a route for experienced hikers. The ascent of Siná may appear straightforward, but the route is quite adventurous and covers approximately 8 km. The mountain is known for its sharp summit and magnificent views. From the Demänovská Dolina – Jaskyňa Slobody bus stop, follow the blue trail for a while until you reach the Repiská junction. This is where the real hike begins: take the yellow trail up to Sedlo Sinej. Expect steep climbs, narrow paths and switchbacks. Chains protect the route in several places near the summit. Our guests say that Siná is one of the most beautiful mountains in the Low Tatras, but we will leave the final verdict to you. Come and see for yourself.
We are an excellent starting point for walks and hikes too. Our location offers more than easy access to ski resorts, a bus stop, restaurants, a shop and a children’s playground.
Observation tower – Pavčina Lehota
Looking straight across the crossroads from our apartment house, you will see the quiet and beautiful village of Pavčina Lehota, surrounded by meadows. It is a genuinely lovely, romantic village that you are sure to fall for, and only around a 15-minute walk from us. The observation tower stands above the village near the Žiarce ski lift and is reached directly along a field track from the village. It is 8 metres high. Beneath its roof are panoramic photographs with precise labels for the peaks and mountain ranges, helping you find your bearings. You will not regret the walk—the views across the village’s beautiful meadows are simply magnificent. A well-trodden path leads onto an educational trail that continues all the way to the neighbouring village of Lazisko. Along the way, you may see horses behind a fence and flocks of sheep and cattle grazing: a quintessential Liptov scene. Young adventurers will also be quick to spot the alpine coaster beside the ski lift, which operates at full capacity during the season. 🙂
