Vila Vista is surrounded by the natural beauty of Demänovská Valley, so we strive to treat the place where our guests relax with care. Energy-saving light bulbs, solar water heating, more efficient water use, waste sorting and a rain garden are practical measures that make sense for accommodation in Liptov.
What do we do for the environment?
RECYCLING
Recycling is just as natural to us—and surely to you too. Bins for plastics and cans are available in our apartments; simply leave glass and paper beside them, and we will recycle everything for you.
TOILETRIES
You will not be taking home miniature, single-use toiletries as souvenirs from us—we use products made by Cyprianus. If you have forgotten any toiletries, their products are also available to buy at reception. Cyprianus is a company from the foothills of the Tatras, and it uses wholesome Tatra herbs in its products.
ECO TOWEL PROGRAMME
We normally replace your towels every three days. If you would like a fresh towel sooner, simply leave the used one on the floor.
We minimise our impact on the surroundings
RAIN GARDEN
The term may be unfamiliar, but we will be happy to show you this water-retention measure in practice. Our rain garden is made up of plants and herbs that help capture rainwater, keeping it in the soil rather than allowing it to drain into the sewer. We have installed a relaxing swing right beside the rain garden, where you can quietly read a book or simply unwind in the heart of nature.
WILDLIFE WATCHING
Roe deer, hinds, foxes and squirrels visit us—and, if you are lucky, you may even glimpse the brown rump of a bear disappearing into the forest.
BIRD FEEDER
Besides the animals mentioned above, you can also spot beautiful winged visitors here. Children can feed the birds and watch thrushes, tits, robins and goldfinches, or hear a woodpecker at work in the forest.
We ask our guests to help during their stay by sorting waste, using water sensibly and respecting the garden and surrounding countryside. This helps Demänovská Valley remain a pleasant place to relax for future visitors too.
