Liptov is about more than Jasná, mountains and caves. Around Vila Vista, you will also find mineral and thermal springs that make a relaxing addition to a trip through the region.
Liptovský Ján
At the end of the village of Liptovský Ján is a well-known natural spring which local people call Jánska kaďa. It is easy to reach and is a popular stop on a relaxing trip around Liptov. You can drive there from Vila Vista and combine the visit with a walk or other attractions around Liptovský Ján.
The mineral and healing springs in our area are among Liptov’s treasures.
Borová sihoť
This spring is also known as “pod Medokýšom” and is located in the Liptovský Ján area. It is very popular and exceptionally easy to reach. The spring is set in beautiful surroundings, with seating beneath a gazebo and a pleasant view of the River Váh.
Uhorská Ves
This is a very popular and well-known mineral spring: “Uhorčianka” or “Žabiarik”. It is frequently visited because it is so easy to reach. Its refreshing water is particularly appreciated by people with stomach complaints.
Konská
In the forest just beyond Konská is a lesser-known but equally wholesome and healing mineral spring. A pleasant woodland walk leads to it. The water is rich in iron, yet has a mild taste and is suitable for everyday drinking. Local people call it medokýš.
Kalameny thermal spring
Fans of wholesome and adventurous outdoor bathing can take a trip to a spot approximately 16 km from us. It is not far by car and is genuinely worth the journey. Kalameny is a small village known for its thermal spring, which attracts many visitors from Slovakia and beyond. On some days it becomes very busy, but it is easy to see why: the water in Kalameny is excellent and reaches 33 degrees Celsius, so people come to bathe here in every season and in all weather.
